Forensic Toxicology

Forensic Toxicology is the multidisciplinary field that pertains to the use of reasonable chemistry, pharmacology, and clinical chemistry for use of formal investigation of poisoning, drugs, and other toxic chemicals found in the human body. Forensic toxicologist first organizes the existence and same personality of that chemical substance in an individual and validates a connection between exposure to that chemical and the phenomenon of an injurious effect or death. The arrangement of forensic toxicological results needs knowledge of many several factors of analytical toxicology as well as pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics.

Different drugs can be found in crime scenes like charas, ganja, cannabis, poppy seeds etc. in the form of plant leaves, seeds, flowers or even in powder form. So, identification of every drugs is very important. Each one have different morphological characteristics and also different characteristics chemical tests for the identification of them. For drugs quantitative and qualitative analysis are equally important.
