This field helps to specify the decomposed evidence, undefined human or mutilated. It also includes the bite marks which are imposed by humans and animals found at the crime scene. Teeth marks are present on food, pen, pencil, glass, or in sexual assault cases, it is also found from the victim’s body. Mainly the bite marks are of a female because female have this type of skill to bite someone to save herself. Some points which a Forensic Odonatologist can find are – unknown human remains, age, bite marks, facial trauma, gender, nationality, etc.

Forensic Odontology deals with the bite marks of suspected individual to link the crime scene with them. Also, it deals with the analysis of teeth found in the skeletal remains from which individual identification can be possible. Mainly bite marks can be found in rape cases or any psychopath homicide cases, or in which the victim is trying to save himself from the criminal.
