Footprints Casting

Footprints are the imprints left by someone walking. They are extremely important in the forensic study of the crime scene. It aids in the identification of all those present during the conduct of a crime. Footprint traces are gathered, and 3D images of the same are recorded for subsequent study.

Footprints are one of the important pieces of evidence found at the crime scene. Footprints can be preserved by clicking their photographs and by making their casts. Preparing casts is a tedious task but it results in exact footprints will all the individual characteristics present in one’s footwear. If there is any type of cut in footwear, then it will also appear in the cast. Casting helps in identification of suspect by knowing its size, brand name, make and model.
